Raqs Al Iqat - Dance of Rhythms
A complete performance experience.
Designed as an immersive journey, this performance intensive brings dancers together to explore rhythm not just as music but as movement, expression and connection.
The Program
Across 10 weekends ( 30 hours of training ), participants will co-create a layered choreography with something flowy, warm and expressive, gradually building into a high-energy playful drum solo. This program focuses on all aspects of performance, from technique and transitions to expression, dynamics and presence on stage.
Who all can participant
Open to all levels from beginners to advanced dancers, with each participant finding their own role within the piece. The movement and vocabulary will be adapted to suit individual levels, making the process both inclusive and challenging.
( A minimum of 1 month of introduction to belly dance is mandatory )
The performances and Extra Goodies!
The journey culminates in two live performances. An International Latin Festival on 12th July - where all participants will receive an all-inclusive day pass to attend multi-style workshops and a belly dance workshop by Tarantismo AND our very own Circle Of Dance on 18th July
Your Teacher
This performance intensive is lead by our master teacher Anusha Hegde, who brings 20 years of experience in belly dance and 26 years of teaching dance across multiple styles. With a range of international certifications and years of working with students and performance groups, her approach focuses on clarity, process and creating clean cohesive group work - where every dancer comes together seamlessly as part of a strong, unified piece.
